A wonderful friend

I have a wonderful friend. A few years ago we were out fabric shop hopping and came upon a great pattern book. I saw this wall quilt, done in these same fabrics and being dumb said "why don't you make this for me and surprise me?" Well, she did! I was going through a rough patch of life at the time and it meant so much to me.

Once it was hanging in the spare bedroom, I decided that I needed a matching quilt for the bed. It's a simple nine-patch but I was happy with the way it turned out. I told the quilter to "have at it" and do what she wanted. I think the circles that she did turned out well and gave the quilt a different look.
