We (well, okay HE) planted hollyhocks for the first time this year.
It's been so fun to watch the bees gathering pollen.
They get so covered with pollen that they can barely move.
I watched as one tried to fly away. He wobbled and bobbled mid-air for a few seconds before he was able to fly away because he (she?) was so loaded down with pollen.
Meanwhile, another busy bee was harvesting the garden.
