We went to a new Korean restaurant in town a few weeks ago and it brought to mind our visit to Korea in 2005. What a wonderful adventure that was and what a beautiful country. I have never been in such a place of contrasts though.
From the towering modern office buildings to the back alleys where the less fortunate reside, from the beautiful and peaceful Buddhist temples to the hustle, bustle and noise of a city of over 11 million people! We loved the people who were so helpful, kind and exceedingly polite. I learned quickly which foods I liked and which I should stay away from!
From ancient temples
to modern temples
from ageless serenity and incredible art forms
to a day on a crowded beach.
It truly was the trip of a lifetime!
