It was a beautiful day to go for a ride. Where did I head? To quilt shops of course!
One can never have too many Civil War prints. Never.
A
few more 30s prints for my grandmother's garden quilt.
Some new patterns. I'm positive that I'll have them all sewn up within a week... The large ones were buy one,
get two free! What was I to do?
The green polka dot was a spur of the moment purchase. I want to do green pathways on the grandmother's garden quilt (grass of course!) but am not sure if this fabric works or not. Is it too bright? Too busy? Too polka-dotty?
Best tasting acquisition of the day: Fresh cherries to munch on while driving. They're really expensive this year because of the cold and wet spring but they're very good. I stopped at a couple different roadside stands and bought some different varieties, along with some fresh beets and apricots.
This was one great road trip!
