I always enjoy our family dinners together. This one in June was especially memorable because for the first time Finley was willing to interact with Zofia. Yay! He's been a bit offish around her but now that she's getting a little bit bigger he's liking her a bit more. He kept finding "baby toys" for her. It was sweet!
We made ice cream and I couldn't resist taking a quick shot of Finley. In his defense he can eat without making a mess of his face but he had just licked the ice cream paddle and so was covered. Such a cute boy!
Finley and Doug, best friends forever, love to play outside in the water. Finley loves dumping water on Grandpa's head.

He's growing up so fast and we love having him at our house one day a week. We started with four days a week at first, which then went to three and a half days, and then three days for a long time. However, Chad and Anney rightly realized that he needed to spend some time with kids his age in order to learn some social skills so they started him in a preschool and a day care. We still get him once a week which is good because I think both Finley and Grandpa would shrivel up and die if they couldn't play together.
Finley is in a super hero phase right now and is usually wearing a cape and being some sort of hero. I love to hear him say "Come on Grandpa, let's go save the world!" I think they were having a major planning session here, trying to figure out where the "bad guys" were hiding. He made me laugh when he said to me, "Black Panther, come save the world with us...after you're done doing the dishes." I guess even super heroes need to do their chores!
I decided I needed a break from quilt making. After all, how many quilts does a person really need? So, I made a tote bag to take on tour. It was fun to do although I have too many tote bags already too. It's plain to see that I need to come up with plan B for using up some of my fabric stash. I'm thinking doll quilts, doll clothes, stuffed animals, etc. I'd like to be able to earn some money by sewing and selling items (dental bills you know) but can't quite decide where to start.
