Zoë Rose has spent a lot of time with us this past week while her mommy and daddy were otherwise occupied. She’s so much fun to have around (although it exhausts this old grandma) and we just love being entertained by her. She’s not one to play with toys (at least here) but I bought her a doll “baby” and stroller at Walmart one day when we went to see grandpa at work. She loves that thing and has pushed that baby all over the neighborhood and all through the house multiple times. She gives the baby “milt” from the bottle or from her own water bottle. Basically she calls anything liquid milk. It’s cute to see the nurturing side of her as she takes care of the baby. She also loves to be outside and always has a rock, or two, or three along with a stick, in her hand when outside. I find all sorts of treasures in the house after she leaves. She’s talking a lot more and will mimic just about anything. When she saw Doug at the viewing the other night she exclaimed, “It’s a boppa!” She was looking for something in the toy room and kept saying “Where it is?” and “Are you?” She likes to cuddle much more lately and I enjoy having her on my lap and just loving having her here. She loves to watch the video I took of the “whee” at Disneyland (her, mommy, “dada!” and grandpa) on the tea cups. It’s been a blessing to get to know her more these past several months but it’s going to make it that much harder when they leave in August.
We were able to FaceTime with Chad, Anney, Finley and Ari on Sunday. I’ll say it again that technology has really blessed our lives. Finley is learning so much every day and Ari is growing and they both change so much so quickly. We’re counting down until a month from now when they’ll be in town for our trip to Moon Lake. Can’t wait!
