Ten days into March and the weather has been positively bipolar. One day we have a blinding snowstorm and the next we have brilliant sunshine and warm weather. It's typical weather for March but nonetheless I'm tired of winter and ready for spring full time. Luckily it chose to be a fairly nice day on Thursday when Zoe was here. We were able to go outside and play for quite a while before lunch and then again after her nap. She wandered all over the yard and pushed the push toy up the street quite a ways. She really got her exercise in. Shelby told me the next day that she slept 13.5 hours that night; she was worn out! The second time we went out we took her for a walk in the wagon and she just loves that. Doug pulled her and I walked behind just in case she got the urge to bail out but she was perfectly content to ride and look around. Finley wanted to FaceTime while she was here so that was fun.
Friday the weather turned nasty again. I had a lot of work that day so it didn't bother me too much since I was at the computer all day but we were supposed to get together with Greg and Kathy for dinner and so I was a bit frustrated by that. Luckily spring snow doesn't stick in the valley and we were still able to go out. They came up (and had to fight rush hour traffic the whole way) and we met at Rooster's in Layton. It was nice to get together. We always say we're going to do it more often but our schedules just don't mesh. I looked through my old texts and discovered that the last time we went out was one year earlier on March 9, 2018! We've vowed to do better this coming year. It may be a bit easier with Greg retiring from work (in August) and Doug retiring from choir (next month).
